Funding Costs
From the 1st of April 2024 we introduced a charge for the funded hours for eligible working parents who receive 2, 3 and 4 year old childcare support (15, 30 Hours). This is a food and consumable charge for meals and snacks as part of their free entitlement place, we also charge for consumables such as sun cream and wipes. Within our Kent provider agreement, you free entitlement is for education only and not meals and snacks. In our setting we provide hot meals and snacks for all children including those with allergies and diet requirements which we will continue to do at the following charge;

| 2 Sessions (10 Hours) | £5.50 per week – £17.40 pcm |
| 3 Session (15 Hours) | £8.25 per week – £26.10 pcm |
| 6 Session (30 Hours) | £16.50 per week – £52.20 pcm |
These charges are only for your funded sessions.
Funding Delivery
OUR FUNDING HOURS FOR FF2’S, 15 OR 30 HOURS ARE DELIVERED BY 5 HOUR SESSIONS IN ANY COMBINATION OF MORNING, AFTERNOON OR FULL DAYS DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY. (MORNING 8 TO 1. AFTERNOON 1 TO 6. FULL DAY 8 TO 6)
FOR EXAMPLE
- 15 HOURS COULD BE TAKEN AS MONDAY MORNING AND THURSDAY ALL DAY = 3 SESSIONS.
- 30 HOURS COULD BE TAKEN MON, TUE, WED, THURS MORNINGS AND FRIDAY ALL DAY = 6 SESSIONS.
FUNDING IS OVER 38 WEEKS OF THE YEAR WE DO NOT OFFER STRETCHED FUNDING.
ANY HOURS IN ADDITION TO THE 570/1140 FREE HOURS ARE PAID AT OUR NORMAL SESSION RATE
Funding for Two’s
Funding for 2’s is available for eligible 2-year old’s, from the term after their second birthday, you will need to check eligibility and apply online and then provide us with your eligibility email from KCC along with evidence of your child’s date of birth, this can be birth certificate or passport.
You can claim up to 570 hours of free childcare this at Woodlands works out at 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year (3 times 5 hour sessions a week) This can be taken in any combination of morning, afternoon or full day depending on availability.
