Funding Costs

From the 1st of April 2024 we introduced a charge for the funded hours for eligible working parents who receive 9 months to 5 years funding (15 or 30 Hours).  This is a food and consumable charge for meals and snacks as part of their free entitlement place, we also charge for consumables such as sun cream, wipes and outside activities.  Within our Kent provider agreement, you free entitlement is for education only and not meals and snacks.  In our setting we provide hot meals and snacks for all children including those with allergies and diet requirements which we will continue to do at the following charge;

1 Session (5 Hours)

£2.75 per week – £8.70 pcm

2 Sessions (10 Hours)

£5.50 per week – £17.40 pcm

3 Session (15 Hours)

£8.25 per week – £26.10 pcm

6 Session (30 Hours)

£16.50 per week – £52.20 pcm

These charges are only for your funded sessions.

Funding Delivery

OUR FUNDING HOURS FOR 15 OR 30 HOURS ARE DELIVERED BY 5 HOUR SESSIONS IN ANY COMBINATION OF MORNING, AFTERNOON OR FULL DAYS DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY. (MORNING 8 TO 1.   AFTERNOON 1 TO 6.   FULL DAY 8 TO 6)

FOR EXAMPLE

• 15 HOURS COULD BE TAKEN AS MONDAY MORNING AND THURSDAY ALL DAY = 3 SESSIONS.
• 30 HOURS COULD BE TAKEN MON, TUE, WED, THURS MORNINGS AND FRIDAY ALL DAY = 6 SESSIONS.

FUNDING IS OVER 38 WEEKS OF THE YEAR WE DO NOT OFFER STRETCHED FUNDING.

ANY HOURS IN ADDITION TO THE 570/1140 FREE HOURS ARE PAID AT OUR NORMAL SESSION RATE

When thy can claim for Funding

A child can start their childcare place the term after they are eligible and have received a valid eligibility code. If your child's birthday falls within the below dates will give you the term they will be eligible for Funding.

1 January to 31 March

the beginning of term on or after 1 April

1 April to 31 August

the beginning of term on or after 1 September

1 September to 31 December

the beginning of term on or after 1 January
